The system maintenance for the PlayMemories Online system update which started on March 19 has been completed today and the service has been restarted.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this prolonged service stoppage.


With this system update, a new feature called "Group Collection" which allows you to easily create a group with friends and family for sharing photos/videos.

[Notes on this system update]


  • For certain customers, depending on the number of contents that are stored and other status of service usage, it may take time for the system to be rebuilt. For this reason, the service may not be available temporarily. If such is the case, the service will be available as soon as the system is rebuilt. Thank you very much for your patience.


  • With this system update, certain functions and apps have been discontinued. For details, please see the following:

・November 21, 2014: Notice of PlayMemories Online system updates and termination of some functions

・January 30, 2015: Notice of end of PlayMemories Online notification function for Sony TV Bravia® 2014 models

・March 3, 2015: Notice on change of iOS app-supported OS version



  • If you have a "Friends' Collection" shared, the URL link to the "Friends' Collection" found in the automatic email sent out when sharing is invalid as a result of this system update. In order to access the "Friends' Collection" again, please ask the user (friend/family member) of the collection to send you an invitation mail to the collection again.
